KELLY CHAPMAN, DC
DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC
Dr. Kelly Chapman is a dedicated chiropractor and proud California native, raised in the foothill community of Cameron Park, just outside of El Dorado Hills. From a young age, he was passionate about sports and physical activity, which led him to play soccer throughout his time at Ponderosa High School. His talent on the field earned him a spot on the soccer team at American River College, where he continued competing at the collegiate level. Unfortunately, a series of recurring injuries cut his soccer career short. This personal struggle with physical limitations eventually shaped his future path in healthcare.
Inspired by his late grandfather, a retired Air Force Colonel who is laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, Dr. Chapman chose to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force. He served honorably for 10 years as a C-17 Loadmaster at Travis Air Force Base in California. During his military career, Dr. Chapman flew multiple combat support missions, earning two Air Medals and the Air Force Achievement Medal. These commendations were awarded for his critical support in Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, where he ensured the safe transport of more than 2,100 combat-ready troops and over one million pounds of essential equipment. Additionally, his composure and professionalism during two in-flight emergencies contributed to the safe evacuation of 39 passengers and the recovery of two C-17 aircraft.
After completing his military service, Dr. Chapman redirected his focus toward health and wellness. Having personally experienced the frustration and setbacks caused by sports-related injuries, he developed a deep appreciation for the importance of proactive and natural healthcare. This led him to pursue a career in chiropractic care—a field that aligned with his passion for physical health, rehabilitation, and helping others lead more active lives.
Dr. Chapman earned his undergraduate degree with honors in Kinesiology, concentrating in Exercise Science, from California State University, Sacramento in 2017. While at Sacramento State, he specialized in biomechanics and cardiovascular fitness, including VO2 max testing. He also worked closely with the Veteran Success Center, assisting fellow veterans in their transition from military to academic life.
He then went on to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California in 2020. While at Palmer West, he was actively involved in multiple adjusting seminars and served on the Palmer West Sports Council. He continued his love for athletics by participating in intramural sports, including playing for the Palmer West soccer team. During his final quarters, Dr. Chapman completed a clinical internship at PG&E’s corporate health facility in San Francisco. There, he worked under Dr. Swanson, DC, and Dr. Misra, a dual board-certified sports physician. In this multidisciplinary setting, he treated a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and gained valuable experience in collaborative, patient-centered care.
Today, Dr. Chapman is passionate about treating athletes, veterans, and individuals from all walks of life. His goal is to help patients recover from injuries, improve performance, and live healthier, more active lives through chiropractic care and natural healing.
